HOW WE BEGAN...
Off Night Productions (ONP) grew from an idea often discussed around a theatre family’s dinner table, into
a company that actively began producing work in the summer of 2023. By year’s end, it had become an official non profit.
The Off Night Team is lead by Artistic Director Aubrey Seader, who is co-founder with her mother, Melinda Seader. Kate Seader, sister #2, lends her artistic and technical support as needed. Combined, the 3 have
a long and diverse history of working in, studying
and financially supporting the arts. Melinda’s background in the starting of both for-profit and
non-profit businesses adds another layer of expertise.
In 2023, with the support of many generous donors,
ONP produced “Proof” by David Auburn & the original storytelling show “Off Night Stories: Winter Holidays.” Both shows were performed to packed houses & received great reviews.
ONP plans to limit their season to 2- 3 events per year due to all team members having pretty great day jobs.
We are currently planning our next season and will announce our 2025 shows in late October.

Why do we stage shows on
Sunday, Monday & Tuesdays?
Many people who love the arts are employed
at jobs that require working on Friday & Saturday.
Friday & Saturday nights are the most lucrative
for those who rely on tips for their livelihood.
Their cost of a night off = ticket cost + lost tips.
Musicians or actors working on a show miss
getting to see other performances that are on
the same nights as their shows.
Different shows can run at the same time.
Audiences often end up limited to seeing only
one show if they are staged on the same night.
Filling our local theatre spaces at the beginning of
the week not only helps support the theater through
additional rental revenue, downtown restaurants &
businesses see more traffic those nights as well.
